Appalachian Love

Hey From Iceland! Part Dos

Hi Everybody! We are currently in route back home from the most amazing vacation to Iceland! Except, vacation might not be the best word for our trip because it was anything but relaxing. The whole time we were go, go, go. Waking up at 7:00am every day, driving all around the island (we drove 1,840 miles!) hiking, exploring, stopping to eat, etc. We just never stopped. But the trip was a blast! We packed in tons of waterfalls, explored some cool beaches, saw some amazing glaciers, got to see the most amazing display of Northern Lights (!!!), snorkeled in the Silfra Fissure (between the North American and European tectonic plates), went on a guided fly fishing trip and so much more!

Similar to the last post I did, I'm just uploading a few more of my favorite pictures from the second half of the trip. I'm currently in the process of working on my Iceland Page. It'll be where I put up every single thing we did with a little recap and some directions if necessary. If you're interested check it out: http://www.appalachianlove.com/search/label/Iceland. Also on this page I'll add posts about each AirBnb we stayed in, they were all so beautiful! Especially because we happened to be there during peak fall foliage so everything was changing from green to bright orange, red and yellow.
